For the first time, a jury presented an award for ‘Best stand’. This initiative was inspired by the "Als ik jou was” project, which encourages and supports ornamental plant growers in communicating more effectively with their customers.

The new varieties were assessed based on climate and future-proof potential, distinctive character, added value within the existing range, visual appeal and overall impression. Gold was awarded to Phillyrea angustifolia 'Grand Prix', an entry from the Dutch trade fair GrootGroenPlus, with which Florall collaborates. Silver went to Agapanthus africanus 'Lady Lauren' and bronze to Syringa 'Smnsdtp' (Proven Winners® Baby Kim (PBR)).

In the new concepts category, Treewrap, an attractive designed label suitable for various trunk thicknesses, won gold.

The Public Award went to Viburnum plicatum ‘PIIVIB II’ (First Editions® Opening Day (PBR)).

Stand

The winner is Decadt-Verhelst from Staden. The jury found this the most memorable stand, one that made visitors spontaneously stop. They praised its interactive design, featuring a rotating product display and clear product segmentation. Despite herbs and vegetable plants being difficult to present attractively, the stand left a lasting impression. The second and third prizes went to Agapanthus bv and Maes-Reyns bv Kwekerij.

It offers an attractive presentation and is suitable for various trunk thicknesses. The design reduces the risk of stem constriction, which can occur when traditional label strings are not removed after planting. The label consist of 30% recycled material and is 100% recyclable.
